Final Trim Grader Operator

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Final Trim Grader Operator to join a busy civil crew working across the Western Bay of Plenty. If you’ve got a sharp eye for levels and take pride in producing high-quality finishes, this is a great opportunity to secure ongoing work with a solid team.

Location: Western Bay of Plenty
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $35–$40 per hour (based on experience) – paid weekly

What you’ll be doing:

• Read and interpret plans and levels
• Work from survey set out, design drawings and/or GPS files
• Achieve specified grades, crossfalls and alignments
• Understand tolerances for subgrade, pavement, and finished surfaces
• Carry out final trim to specification
• Trim subgrade, sub-base, basecourse, shoulders and batters to line and level
• Set up and operate grader with GPS/machine control systems
• Operate machinery safely and efficiently

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in final trim grader operation
• Strong GPS/machine control skills
• Class 4 licence with WTR endorsements
• Ability to read plans and work to tight tolerances
• Clean MOJ
• Reliable, safety-focused, and takes pride in quality work
