We’re looking for a General Labourer to join reputable local teams in Invercargill. If you’re reliable, physically fit, have solid construction-site experience and are ready to get stuck in, we want to hear from you.
Location: Invercargill, Southland
Start date: Immediate start available
Pay rate: $26–$27 per hour

This is varied, hands-on work for someone with previous building or construction-site experience. You’ll be working on active sites, supporting trades and local construction teams with a range of physical and practical tasks.

About the role
This is varied, hands-on work for someone with previous building or construction-site experience. You’ll be working on active sites, supporting trades and local construction teams with a range of physical and practical tasks.
What you could be doing
- Assisting trades and confidently using hand and power tools
- Digging, shovelling, spreading gravel and completing groundwork
- Moving building materials and keeping work areas clean and organised
- Demolition, manual handling and heavy lifting
- Furniture moving and other physically demanding work
- Driving manual vehicles when required
- Supporting construction teams with general building-site duties
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic
- Previous building, construction or relevant work-site experience
- Physically fit and capable of demanding, hands-on labouring
- Confident and competent using hand and power tools
- Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence and ability to drive manual vehicles; Class 2 is beneficial
- Reliable transport and ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Two recent work referees who can confirm your skills and work ethic
