You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing and fabricating components used in industrial plant and production equipment.
Working alongside an experienced maintenance team, you'll help keep machinery operating safely and efficiently while delivering high-quality workmanship across a variety of engineering projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on industrial plant and machinery
- Dismantle, inspect and reassemble conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and rotating equipment
- Perform precision fitting, turning and machining to required tolerances
- Complete TIG, MIG and Stick welding repairs and fabrication work
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs
- Assist with machinery installations, upgrades and commissioning
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Complete maintenance records and follow health and safety procedures
- Work collaboratively to minimise downtime and maintain production
- Level 4 Trade Certificate in Engineering, Fitting & Turning, Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Proven experience as a Fitter Welder or Maintenance Fitter
- Strong welding, fitting and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience working on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and rotating equipment
- Competent in TIG, MIG and Stick welding
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- High attention to detail with pride in quality workmanship
- Reliable, safety-focused and able to work independently or within a team
