Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Fitter/Installer to join a busy engineering team in Cambridge. This hands-on role combines workshop and site-based work across mechanical fitting, assembly, installation, servicing and repairs.
Location: Cambridge, Waikato
Start date: Immediate
Pay rate: $30–$36 per hour + weekly pay

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Fitter/Installer to join a busy engineering team in Cambridge. This hands-on role combines workshop and site-based work across mechanical fitting, assembly, installation, servicing and repairs.
Location: Cambridge, Waikato
Start date: Immediate
Pay rate: $30–$36 per hour + weekly pay
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assemble, align, fit and install metal and mechanical components
- Complete workshop repairs, servicing and maintenance
- Read and work from engineering specifications, blueprints and drawings
- Carry out mechanical assembly and fitting tasks
- Complete installation and repair work on site as required
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Support general engineering and construction-related work
- Previous fitting or mechanical assembly experience
- Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
- Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence and reliable transport
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Potential for ongoing work
- Monday to Friday schedule, 6:00am–5:00pm
- Variety of workshop and site-based projects
