Fitter 

We're looking for an experienced Fitter to join a busy engineering team in Cambridge. This is a hands-on role offering a variety of workshop and site-based work, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.
If you have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working from engineering drawings, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
Location: Cambridge
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $32–$36 per hour 
About the Role As a Fitter, you'll play a key role in supporting workshop operations. You'll be involved in the repair, servicing, assembly, alignment, installation, and maintenance of engineering and mechanical components while ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with workshop repairs, servicing, and maintenance activities
• Assemble, align, install, and repair metal components
• Read and interpret engineering specifications, blueprints, and drawings
• Carry out mechanical assembly and fitting tasks
• Perform maintenance and repair work on engineering components
• Work both in the workshop and on-site as required
• Safely operate hand and power tools
• Support general engineering and construction-related activities

What We're Looking For Essential Requirements:

• Previous fitting or mechanical assembly experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Full Class 1 driver's licence
• Strong commitment to health and safety practices
• Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team

• Site Safe
• EWP (Elevated Work Platform)
• Forklift Licence
