Looking for a workshop-based role with consistent hours and a steady pipeline of work?
We're seeking an experienced Fabricator Welder to join a busy South Auckland workshop as a major commercial project gets underway.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-quality structural steel and custom fabrication projects in a well-equipped workshop.
If you're confident reading engineering drawings, enjoy hands-on fabrication, and take pride in delivering quality workmanship, we'd love to hear from you.

Location: Wiri, South Auckland
Start date: Immediate start available
Pay rate: $34.00–$35.00 per hour | Weekly pay

About the RoleYou'll play an important part in delivering high-quality fabricated steel components for a significant upcoming project.
Working in a modern workshop alongside an experienced team, you'll fabricate, weld and assemble components to specification while maintaining exceptional standards of quality and safety.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Fabricate structural and custom steel components from engineering drawings
  • Perform high-quality MIG welding and fabrication work
  • Read and interpret workshop drawings and specifications
  • Measure, cut and prepare materials for fabrication
  • Assemble fabricated components to project specifications
  • Work closely with the workshop team to meet production deadlines
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality and health and safety
  • Assist with general workshop duties as required
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Fabricator / Welder
  • Strong MIG welding and fabrication skills
  • Flux core welding experience is highly regarded
  • Welding tickets or relevant certifications are advantageous
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
  • High attention to detail with pride in producing quality work
  • Reliable, punctual and a strong team player
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
