Fabricator/ Welder

Qualified Welder/Fabricator Tradestaff Tauranga is currently seeking experienced and trade-qualified Welder/Fabricators for multiple opportunities across the Tauranga and Mount Maunganui region. These roles offer a mixture of workshop and site-based work across long-term industrial and structural fabrication projects. If you’re confident working with stainless or structural steel and take pride in producing high-quality workmanship, we want to hear from you.
Location: Tauranga / Mount Maunganui
Start date: Upcoming projects commencing soon
Pay rate: Starting from $32.00 per hour + weekly pay
What You’ll Be Doing:

• MIG and/or TIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel
• Fabrication, cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components
• Manufacturing components used in tanks and industrial equipment
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering plans
• Laying out, fitting, and installing structural metal components
• Heavy fabrication and structural assembly work
• Grinding, finishing, and inspecting welds to meet quality standards
• Working across workshop and site-based environments

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade qualification in welding/fabrication or similar
• Strong MIG and/or TIG welding experience
• Ability to confidently read and work from plans
• Experience with stainless or structural steel fabrication
• Full Class 1 licence and reliable transport
• Higher class licences and additional tickets such as Forklift, EWP, and Working at Heights are beneficial
• Reliable, drug-free, and safety-focused attitude
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship standards
