We are a powerhouse in the Rotorua engineering landscape, known for turning raw steel into the skeletal structures and heavy machinery that drive New Zealand’s timber and marine industries. We don’t do light-gauge work; we do heavy-duty. From the massive log-handling systems of the Bay of Plenty to iconic marine projects, we build the things that last.
We are looking for a Welder Fabricator who takes pride in a perfect bead and has the structural mindset to "fit" complex projects from the ground up.
The Role: Build the GiantsIn our workshop, you aren’t just a welder—you are a fabricator. You take a stack of blueprints and a pile of steel and turn them into a masterpiece of structural integrity.

• Heavy Fabrication: Taking large steel plates and beams and "fitting" them with precision before the final high-strength welds are applied.
• Master of the Torch: You’ll be a pro with MIG (GMAW) and Flux-Cored (FCAW) for heavy structural work, with the occasional specialized TIG project.
• The Big Picture: You’ll use overhead cranes and rigging to position heavy components, ensuring everything is square, level, and ready for the site.
• Onsite Action: Occasionally, you’ll head out to major industrial plants for installations, working at heights to ensure our machinery is integrated perfectly.

Do You Have the Grit?We aren't just looking for someone who can pull a trigger. We need a team player with the following:

• Engineering Experience: Proven background in heavy fabrication and welding.
• Blueprint Literacy: The ability to work confidently from complex technical drawings.
• The "Fitting" Skillset: Experience in both fitting and rigging to get the job done right.
• Physical Prowess: You’re physically capable of the lifting and assembly work required in a heavy engineering environment.
• The Essentials: A positive attitude, good verbal communication, and a sharp eye for detail.
• Site Ready: You’ll need to be comfortable with Working at Heights, using a Harness, and operating MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms) for sitework.

A Trade Certificate isn’t strictly necessary, but it will definitely give you an edge!
