Experienced GPS Excavator Operators

We are looking for experienced Excavator Operators with GPS machine control experience to join a busy civil construction team working on long-term projects in Waihi.
This role will involve helping deliver infrastructure work on the Waihi mining site. If you’re confident operating modern machinery, take pride in quality work, and want ongoing opportunities with a supportive crew, we want to hear from you.
Location: Waihi
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $40 per hour + travel time

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently across civil, drainage, earthworks, and construction projects
• Use GPS machine control systems for accurate digging, trimming, and grading
• Read and interpret site plans, levels, and GPS data
• Complete trenching, foundations, bulk earthworks, and final trim work
• Carry out daily pre-start checks and basic machine maintenance
• Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and ground crews
• Maintain high safety and quality standards on site
• Operate a range of machinery and attachments confidently
• Assist with general site duties when required
• Support infrastructure development work on the Waihi mining site

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience operating excavators using GPS machine control systems
• WTR endorsements
• Class 2 licence
• Civil construction experience
• Site Safe preferred
• Strong understanding of health & safety practices
• Reliable, motivated, and able to work well within a team
