Due to strong continued growth, a promising opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Foreman to work for a leading heavy equipment group, operating in the Wellington Region.

In this position you will play a pivotal role in the leadership team in this heavy equipment workshop, overseeing a strong team of dedicated technicians in the workshop and the field and play a part in the on-going maintenance repair and on-going growth of the well-known brand.
Leading by example with your customer service/supplier interactions and running the team on the floor, you will be a man/woman of your word and someone your team will look up to, with strong mechanical and hydraulics experience, excellent organisational skills you will be able to wear a few hats at once.

You'll need to have the following:

  • Trade Certification with heavy equipment experience within the New Zealand or International market. Civil, Agricultural or Forestry experience would be highly considered.
  • 4- 6  years' + experience as a Diesel Mechanic .
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven heavy-vehicle mechanic.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • A great communicator who enjoys working as part of a team.
  • Class 2, 4 Drivers Licence.
  • A solid work ethic, with an eye for detail and an eagerness to get the job done right.
