Trades Assistant
Want to get your boots dirty, learn from experienced tradies, and be part of a crew that works hard and has a laugh along the way? We’re on the hunt for motivated Trades Assistants to join busy engineering and industrial teams across Hamilton, Te Rapa, and Frankton.

If you’ve got a strong work ethic, enjoy hands-on work, and want to build a career in the trades — we want to hear from you. There’s also the opportunity to travel around the North Island for project work and gain experience on a variety of sites.

Location: Hamilton, Te Rapa, Frankton
Start date: ASAP
Pay rate: $26–$28 per hour depending on experience + weekly pay

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting engineering teams and skilled tradespeople
• Supporting workshop and site operations
• Carrying out hands-on labouring and trades assistant duties
• Using tools and equipment safely
• Helping keep work areas clean, organised, and running smoothly

What we’re looking for:

• Pre-trade course completed is ideal
• At least 1 year of work experience
• Strong work ethic and reliable attitude
• Someone not afraid of hard physical work
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Contactable references
• Positive attitude and someone who can have a laugh with the crew
• Forklift licence is a bonus
