Tradestaff is recruiting experienced Registered Electricians and Leading Hand Electricians to join a major utility-scale renewable energy project in Northland.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale renewable energy infrastructure while being part of a professional team delivering critical electrical works that help power communities across New Zealand.
About the Role

You’ll play a key role in the installation, testing, commissioning, and energisation of utility-scale renewable energy projects, working alongside experienced industry professionals in a safety-focused environment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • DC and AC electrical installation
  • Testing, verification, and commissioning activities
  • Grid connection and energisation support
  • Balance of plant electrical systems
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship
We’re Looking For Registered Electricians
  • Current NZ Electrical Registration
  • Experience in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or utility-scale projects
  • Solar or renewable energy experience advantageous but not essential
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality documentation
Leading Hand Electricians
  • Current NZ Electrical Registration
  • Proven experience leading crews on large-scale projects
  • Strong focus on quality, productivity, and site safety
  • Experience in renewables, infrastructure, or industrial environments preferred
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
