Tradestaff is looking for a Qualified Electrician to join a well-established Christchurch electrical contractor. You’ll work across residential, commercial and industrial projects, with plenty of variety and a strong pipeline of work ahead.
Location: Canterbury
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $36–$42 per hour + weekly pay

Tradestaff is looking for a Qualified Electrician to join a well-established Christchurch electrical contractor. You’ll work across residential, commercial and industrial projects, with plenty of variety and a strong pipeline of work ahead.
Location: Canterbury
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $36–$42 per hour + weekly pay
What You’ll Be Doing
- Complete electrical installations and fit-outs across varied projects
- Install, test and commission wiring, lighting, switchboards and electrical systems
- Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs
- Read and work accurately from electrical plans and specifications
- Complete testing and inspections to required standards
- Maintain accurate job and compliance documentation
- Ensure all work meets current NZ electrical and safety requirements
- NZ Registered Electrician with a current EWRB Electrical Practising Licence
- At least 5 years of relevant electrical experience
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Confidence reading electrical plans and technical documentation
- Own electrical hand tools
- Full NZ Driver Licence and reliable transport
- High standard of workmanship with a strong commitment to safety
- Potential for ongoing work
- Strong pipeline of upcoming electrical projects
- Variety across residential, commercial and industrial environments
- Work with a reputable Christchurch electrical contractor

- PPE provided where required
