Pay rate: $35.00–$42.00 per hour | Weekly pay

About the Role

Working across a variety of civil construction projects, you'll install, repair and maintain underground drainage systems while supporting experienced site crews.
This is a hands-on role offering plenty of variety, working on subdivisions, commercial developments and major infrastructure projects throughout South Auckland.

What You'll Be Doing

• Install stormwater, wastewater and sewer pipelines
• Excavate, lay and align drainage pipes to project specifications
• Install manholes, chambers and associated drainage infrastructure
• Carry out drainage repairs, maintenance and reinstatement works
• Read and interpret construction plans and engineering drawings
• Complete backfilling, compaction and trench reinstatement
• Work alongside excavator operators and civil construction crews
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality and health and safety

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Civil Drainlayer or Drainlayer
• Registered Drainlayer preferred, but experienced Civil Drainlayers are encouraged to apply
• Experience installing stormwater, wastewater and sewer systems
• Strong understanding of civil construction and drainage practices
• Full NZ Driver Licence
• WTR endorsements are advantageous
• Experience working around excavations and trenching operations
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Reliable transport and a strong work ethic
• Physically fit, safety-focused and able to work well within a team
