Tradestaff is seeking experienced Drainlayers to join projects across New Zealand, working on a range of residential, commercial, and civil developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing and maintaining underground drainage and sewer systems
- Reading plans and specifications to ensure accurate work
- Working across civil, earthworks, and new developments
- Carrying out repairs, inspections, and system upgrades
What’s on Offer:
- Pay rate of $30 – $40 per hour (depending on experience)
- Minimum 30 hours guaranteed per week
- Long-term and stable work opportunities
- Variety of projects to keep work interesting and engaging
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years experience and/or relevant trade qualification
- Reliable Transport
- Strong commitment to Health and Safety
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Two contactable work references
- WTR endorsements (preferred but not essential)
PGDB Registration Information (Important):
To work as a Drainlayer with Tradestaff in New Zealand, you must be registered with the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (PGDB).
For offshore applicants, the PGDB registration process is clear and achievable for experienced tradespeople. Many international candidates successfully gain registration each year, and Tradestaff can help guide you in the right direction to get started.
