About the Role
You’ll be working on a variety of civil infrastructure projects across the Wellington region, assisting with the construction and maintenance of essential underground services.
Your day could include:
- Assisting with the installation of stormwater, wastewater and water supply pipelines
- Supporting excavation, trenching and pipe-laying activities
- Backfilling, compaction and site reinstatement
- Working safely around heavy machinery and plant
- Spotting for machine operators and maintaining safe work zones
- Operating hand and power tools
- General labouring duties across active civil construction sites
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
We’re looking for people who enjoy working outdoors, take pride in their work and have a strong commitment to safety.
Ideally you’ll have:
- Previous experience in civil construction, drainage or infrastructure projects
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors
- Confidence working around machinery and excavation work
- A commitment to safe work practices
- Full Class 1 Driver Licence
- WTR endorsement (advantageous but not essential)
- The ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Competitive hourly rates
