Directional Driller (HDD) Wanted

Are you an experienced Directional Driller looking for your next challenge?

We're seeking a skilled HDD Operator to join a busy civil and underground utilities team working on a variety of infrastructure projects. You'll be involved in the installation of underground services including water, power, telecommunications, gas, and fibre networks, helping deliver critical infrastructure while minimising disruption to the surrounding environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work on projects ranging from urban developments and road crossings through to major civil and utility installations. You'll be part of a team that takes pride in delivering safe, accurate, and high-quality trenchless solutions.
Key Responsibilities

• Operate Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) equipment safely and efficiently
• Complete all stages of the HDD process.
• Read and interpret plans, utility drawings, and bore profiles
• Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Work closely with locators, operators, and civil crews to ensure projects are completed safely and accurately
• Maintain high health and safety standards on site

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience operating HDD drilling equipment
• Strong understanding of the directional drilling process and underground utility installation
• Experience with tracking and guidance systems
• Ability to troubleshoot drilling conditions and adapt to varying ground types
• Reliable work ethic and commitment to safety
• Full Class 1 licence required
• Class 2, WTR, Confined Space, or First Aid certifications are advantageous
