Tradestaff is looking for a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join a busy operation in North West Auckland. Put your diagnostic and mechanical expertise to work keeping heavy equipment performing at its best.

Pay rate: $35–$45 per hour + weekly pay
What You'll Be Doing
- Service and repair diesel engines and associated components
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Repair and maintain heavy vehicles, plant, and machinery
- Identify faults and complete repairs efficiently
- Complete inspections and maintain accurate service records
- Work safely while keeping the workshop tidy and organised
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Mechanic, or similar
- Relevant mechanical or heavy automotive qualification preferred
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience with trucks, plant, construction equipment, or other heavy machinery
- Good knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
- Full NZ driver licence
- Reliable, safety-focused, and capable of working independently
- Varied hands-on work across different machinery and equipment
