About the Role

Working in a busy workshop environment, you'll be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of commercial trucks, trailers and heavy transport equipment.
You'll play a key role in keeping customer fleets safe, compliant and operating at their best while working alongside an experienced team of technicians.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Service, maintain and repair commercial trucks, trailers and heavy transport equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime
  • Repair diesel engines, transmissions, braking, suspension and steering systems
  • Inspect and repair trailer components, including air brake systems, axles and lighting
  • Complete servicing, repairs and compliance checks to a high standard
  • Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and workshop standards
What We're Looking For
  • Trade qualification in Heavy Automotive Engineering, Diesel Mechanics or similar
  • Proven experience working on heavy trucks and trailers
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics and heavy vehicle systems
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Full Class 1 Driver Licence (Class 5 advantageous)
  • WoF or CoF certification highly regarded
  • Reliable, safety-focused and committed to quality workmanship
