Working in a busy workshop environment, you'll be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of commercial trucks, trailers and heavy transport equipment.
You'll play a key role in keeping customer fleets safe, compliant and operating at their best while working alongside an experienced team of technicians.
What You'll Be Doing
- Service, maintain and repair commercial trucks, trailers and heavy transport equipment
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime
- Repair diesel engines, transmissions, braking, suspension and steering systems
- Inspect and repair trailer components, including air brake systems, axles and lighting
- Complete servicing, repairs and compliance checks to a high standard
- Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation
- Follow all health and safety procedures and workshop standards
- Trade qualification in Heavy Automotive Engineering, Diesel Mechanics or similar
- Proven experience working on heavy trucks and trailers
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics and heavy vehicle systems
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Full Class 1 Driver Licence (Class 5 advantageous)
- WoF or CoF certification highly regarded
- Reliable, safety-focused and committed to quality workmanship
