About the Role
As a Day Crew Operator, you'll play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of the processing plant by carrying out routine inspections, housekeeping, equipment monitoring and assisting with maintenance activities.
Working closely with the Control Room, Maintenance and Metallurgical teams, you'll help keep the plant operating safely, reliably and efficiently while maintaining high housekeeping and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine plant inspections and equipment checks
Monitor conveyors, pumps, crushers, mills and processing equipment
Identify and report equipment faults and operational issues
Assist with plant start-ups, shutdowns and maintenance activities
Carry out housekeeping across the processing plant
Complete routine operational tasks and inspections
Assist with isolations and permit-to-work activities
Maintain accurate shift records and inspection reports
Ensure compliance with site operating procedures and safety standards
Promote a positive safety culture across the operation
About You To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
Previous experience in a mineral processing plant, mining, quarrying or heavy industrial environment
Experience carrying out plant inspections and routine operational duties
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Current Driver Licence
Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental performance
Good communication and teamwork skills
A proactive attitude and commitment to operational excellence
Desirable
Previous experience within underground gold or metalliferous mining operations
Experience working in a processing plant day crew environment
Current First Aid Certificate
Loader, forklift or other mobile plant licences
Additional mining or process plant qualifications
