CNC Machine Operator

Location: Kaiapoi, Christchurch
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $32–$35 per hour (depending on experience)

What's on offer

- Long-term opportunity with potential for ongoing work
- 40–50 hours per week with flexible start and finish times for the right person
- Modern workshop with a supportive team environment
- Full PPE provided
- Operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision-engineered components
- Work with Fanuc and Okuma control systems (experience preferred)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Carry out quality checks to ensure components meet specifications
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery (programming not required)
- Milling experience on larger CNC machines is highly desirable
- Experience with Fanuc and/or Okuma controls is an advantage
- Willingness to learn and operate larger CNC machines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Full Class 1 driver's licence
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
