Tradestaff Hamilton is looking for an experienced Class 2 Driver / Asphalt Labourer to join a small, hardworking crew working across Hamilton and the wider Waikato.
This is not just a driving role. You’ll be expected to jump out of the truck and work alongside the team, assisting with asphalt preparation, laying, repairs and general labouring.

Tradestaff Hamilton is looking for an experienced Class 2 Driver / Asphalt Labourer to join a small, hardworking crew working across Hamilton and the wider Waikato.
This is not just a driving role. You’ll be expected to jump out of the truck and work alongside the team, assisting with asphalt preparation, laying, repairs and general labouring.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving Class 2 vehicles to and from worksites
- Transporting asphalt, materials and equipment
- Assisting with asphalt laying and preparation
- Raking, shovelling and spreading asphalt
- General civil and roading labouring
- Working closely within a small crew
- Following site and traffic management procedures
- Completing physically demanding outdoor work
- Full Class 2 NZ Driver Licence – essential
- Previous asphalt or relevant roading experience – essential
- Comfortable getting out of the truck and completing hands-on labouring
- Physically fit and capable of manual work
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Able to work effectively as part of a small team
- Health and safety conscious
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Weekly pay
