About the Role
You’ll be working alongside experienced drainage and civil construction crews, assisting with the installation of essential infrastructure including water, wastewater, and stormwater networks.
This is a hands-on outdoor role that offers variety, ongoing work, and the opportunity to learn from experienced industry professionals.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with the installation of stormwater, wastewater, and water supply pipelines
- Supporting excavation, trenching, shoring, and pipe-laying operations
- Backfilling, compaction, and site reinstatement work
- Operating hand and power tools
- Assisting machinery and plant operators on site
- Spotting for machine operators and maintaining safe work zones
- General labouring duties across active civil construction sites
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Previous civil construction or drainage experience preferred
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Ability to work safely around machinery and excavations
- Good level of physical fitness
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Positive attitude and team-focused approach
- Good communication skills
- Full Class 1 Driver Licence
- WTR endorsements advantageous but not essential
- $25 - $30 per hour depending on experience
- Weekly pay
