Civil Operatives

We’re expanding our search and looking for both Civil Labourers and Machine Operators (Loader & Excavator) to join a major local infrastructure project based in the Ōtaki/Levin region, now recruiting out of Porirua and surrounding areas.
This is your chance to be part of a large-scale civil construction project, helping deliver essential infrastructure that will benefit the wider community. Whether you’re on the machines or on the ground, you’ll be working alongside experienced crews on a busy, well-run site.
What’s on offer:

• Immediate start available
• Full-time work, Monday to Friday
• Usual hours 7:00am – 5:00pm (may vary depending on project needs)

Machine Operators – What you’ll be doing:

• Operating loaders and excavators across a variety of civil tasks
• Bulk earthworks, trenching, backfilling, and site levelling
• Loading trucks and managing materials safely and efficiently
• Working around services and following site plans
• Supporting crews and maintaining productivity on site

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating loaders and/or excavators
• Current WTR endorsements (essential)
• Civil construction experience highly advantageous

Civil Labourers – What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting operators and crews with day-to-day site tasks
• Digging, trenching, drainage, and general groundworks
• Spotting for machinery and working around live services
• Moving materials and maintaining a safe, tidy worksite

Requirements:

• Previous civil or construction labouring experience advantageous
• Physically fit, reliable, and keen to work

Bonus tickets (for both roles):

• Class 2 or Class 4 licence
• WTR (for labourers looking to upskill)
• Site Safe or relevant industry tickets
