Civil Foreman – Porirua

Large-Scale Civil Infrastructure Project 

We are looking for an experienced Civil Foreman to join a major infrastructure project based in Porirua. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role on a large-scale civil works project with ongoing work, a strong pipeline ahead, and the chance to work alongside a skilled and motivated crew.
This role is suited to someone who can lead from the front, keep crews productive and safe, and deliver high-quality work while maintaining strong communication with site management and subcontractors.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supervising and coordinating civil crews on-site
• Leading daily operations across earthworks, drainage, roading, utilities, concrete and infrastructure works
• Reading and interpreting plans and project specifications
• Organising materials, plant, and labour requirements
• Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to programme
• Conducting toolbox talks and promoting a strong health & safety culture
• Liaising with engineers, site managers, subcontractors, and clients
• Mentoring and supporting workers on-site

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Civil Foreman or Leading Hand within civil construction
• Strong understanding of civil infrastructure projects
• Ability to manage crews and keep projects moving
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Experience coordinating machinery, subcontractors, and site logistics
• Solid understanding of NZ health & safety standards
• WTR endorsements or relevant civil tickets are advantageous
• Class 1 licence required – higher classes beneficial
