Location: Napier, Hawke’s Bay
Start date: Immediate
Pay rate: $38–$50 per hour (weekly pay)
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and supervising site crews to hit productivity and quality targets
- Coordinating day-to-day site operations across multiple stages of work
- Overseeing and operating machinery when required
- Managing civil construction activities across earthworks, concrete and more
- Keeping health & safety front of mind on site
- Working closely with subcontractors, stakeholders, and project teams
- Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and specs
- Running pre-starts, toolbox talks, and safe work plans
- Reporting into the Project Manager and planning upcoming works
- Mentoring and guiding crew members on site
- 5+ years’ experience in civil construction
- Proven leadership experience as a Foreman or similar
- Strong background with heavy machinery
- Solid all-round civil experience (earthworks, concrete, formwork, etc.)
- Ability to lead from the front and manage crews effectively
- Class 2 licence preferred
- Confident reading and interpreting plans
- Strong organisation, problem-solving, and communication skills
- A practical, get-it-done attitude
- Ongoing work with a strong pipeline of upcoming civil projects secured
