Got solid civil experience, digger skills and a Class 2 or 4 licence?
We’re looking for Civil Operators who are ready to get out of the machine and get stuck into the work on site.
We're looking for experienced Civil Operators to join a specialist civil team based in Takanini.
This is not a dedicated digger operator role. While digger experience is important, you'll be working hands-on alongside the crew across groundworks, drilling support, site preparation, micro tunnelling and other specialist civil works.
You'll need to be someone who takes initiative, works well as part of a crew and can step up and take responsibility on site when the Team Leader isn't there. You'll also need to be flexible to travel outside Auckland when projects require it.
Location: Takanini, Auckland
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $35.00–$37.00 per hour (Weekly pay)

- Work hands-on with the crew across groundworks, trenching, site preparation and material handling
- Assist drilling and civil teams, including supporting micro tunnelling operations with training provided
- Support hydro excavation, utility and pipeline work, drain cleaning and other specialist civil operations as required
- Transport materials, tools and equipment and complete pre-start checks and basic equipment maintenance
- Take initiative on site and be prepared to take responsibility for site operations when the Team Leader is unavailable
- Follow all site procedures and Health & Safety requirements while keeping work areas clean and safe
- Full NZ Class 2 or Class 4 driver's licence
- Proven digger operating experience and a solid civil construction background
- Physically fit and prepared for a genuinely hands-on civil role — this is not a machine-only position
- Site Safe required; we can assist with obtaining this
- Drilling experience is advantageous, or you'll need to be willing and keen to learn
- Confined Space and a current Dangerous Goods endorsement are advantageous
- Reliable, safety-focused, proactive and comfortable taking responsibility when required
- Hands-on civil work alongside driving and machinery operation
- Flexibility to travel and work outside Auckland when required
- Outdoor work across a range of civil sites and conditions
- General labouring and other site duties will form part of the role
