Foreman Carpenter
We're looking for an experienced Foreman Carpenter to join a bridge construction project in Napier.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with a strong formwork background who can lead from the front, maintain high safety standards, and keep crews productive on a busy civil infrastructure project.
Location: Napier, Napier
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $35–$38 per hour, paid weekly

What you'll be doing
- Leading carpentry crews on bridge construction works
- Managing and coordinating daily site activities
- Constructing and overseeing complex formwork systems
- Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards
- Working closely with site management and subcontractors
- Supporting concrete pours and associated civil works
- Proven experience as a Foreman Carpenter
- Strong background in civil construction and formwork
- NZQA Rigging Unit Standard 30072
- NZQA Slinging Unit Standard 3789
- Ability to lead crews and manage site workflows
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transport and commitment to site expectations
- Pass a pre-employment drug test
- Weekly pay with rates that reflect your experience and skills
