We’re looking for an experienced Canvas Fabricator to join a busy Napier workshop.
You’ll manufacture specialised canvas and PVC products, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy and meeting production deadlines.
The work includes helicopter equipment, awnings, shade sails, screens and other specialist fabric products.
Location: Onekawa, Napier
Start date: ASAP
Pay rate: $32.00 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing
- Marking and cutting canvas and PVC materials accurately
- Operating industrial sewing machines to fabricate products
- Carrying out hot air welding and High Frequency welding
- Assembling finished components and specialised fabric products
- Working with the helicopter division on specialised products
- Completing quality checks and job records before dispatch
- Working efficiently to meet production deadlines
- Experience in canvas fabrication or a related trade
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out relatively heavy lifting
- Full driver’s licence and valid NZ working rights
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable, conscientious and comfortable working as part of a team
