About the Role

As a Cablebolt Operator, your primary focus will be the safe and efficient installation of cable bolts and ground support systems to ensure the ongoing stability and integrity of underground workings.
Working closely with development, production and geotechnical teams, you will play a critical role in maintaining safe and productive underground operations while contributing to the success of a growing gold mining operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate cable bolting equipment safely and efficiently

• Install cable bolts and associated ground support systems to mine specifications

• Read and interpret ground support plans and geotechnical instructions

• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks

• Identify and report equipment faults and maintenance requirements

• Maintain accurate production, operational and safety records

• Work collaboratively with development, production and geotechnical teams

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and operational procedures

• Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the operation

About YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Cablebolt, Jumbo or Longhole Driller role

• Proven experience operating mobile equipment in underground mining, tunnelling or metalliferous environments

• Experience working within underground development or production mining operations

• Current First Aid Certificate

• Full Manual Driver Licence

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Desirable

• Previous experience leading crews or mentoring team members

• Class 2 and/or Class 4 Licence

• Wheels, Tracks and Rollers (WTR) endorsement

• Experience in underground gold or metalliferous mining operations
