Tradestaff Queenstown is looking for a Brush Hand to join a busy painting team working on projects throughout Cromwell and the wider Central Otago area.

You don’t need to be a fully qualified painter - we’re looking for someone with painting experience who knows their way around a brush, takes pride in their work and is keen to get stuck in. You’ll be working alongside experienced painters and other trades, helping with preparation and painting across residential and commercial sites.

Location: Cromwell, Central Otago
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $28-$30 per hour, with weekly pay

What you'll be doing

• Assisting experienced painters with day-to-day painting work
• Preparing walls, ceilings and other surfaces ready for painting
• Sanding, filling and masking
• Using brushes and rollers for painting and touch-ups
• Helping with interior and exterior painting
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy
• Working alongside other trades on site
• Following site safety requirements

What we're looking for

• Some previous painting or brush hand experience
• No formal painting qualification required
• Someone who is reliable, hardworking and keen to get stuck in
• A good eye for detail and pride in your work
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Physically fit and happy working on your feet
• Own basic painting tools are an advantage
• Reliable transport preferred
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
