Tradestaff Queenstown is looking for a reliable Brush Hand to join our team and work across a range of projects throughout the Queenstown area.

You don’t need to be a fully qualified painter - we’re looking for someone with painting experience who knows their way around a brush, takes pride in their work and is keen to get stuck in. You’ll be working alongside experienced painters and other trades, helping with preparation and painting across residential and commercial sites.

Location: Queenstown, Otago
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $28-$30 per hour, with weekly pay

What you'll be doing

• Assisting painters with day-to-day painting work
• Preparing walls, ceilings and other surfaces for painting
• Sanding, filling, masking and general preparation
• Using brushes and rollers for painting and touch-up work
• Helping with interior and exterior painting
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy
• Working alongside other trades and following instructions
• Following site safety requirements

What we're looking for

• Some previous painting or brush hand experience
• You don't need to be a qualified painter - practical experience is what matters
• Someone who is reliable, hardworking and keen to learn
• A good eye for detail and pride in your work
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Physically fit and happy working on your feet
• Your own basic painting tools are an advantage
• Reliable transport is preferred
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
