Tradestaff Christchurch is seeking a skilled tradesperson to join a busy construction team working across a variety of residential, commercial, and civil projects throughout Christchurch. Location: Across Christchurch
Start date: Immediate
Pay rate: $30–$40 per hour (depending on experience)

About The Role:

• Laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry products
• Constructing walls, foundations, retaining walls, and structural masonry
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Measuring and setting out work to ensure accurate alignment and levels
• Mixing and applying mortar, cutting bricks and blocks to size, and producing quality finishes
• Installing reinforcing, lintels, flashings, and other masonry components where required
• Carrying out repairs, restoration, and maintenance on existing masonry structures
• Working closely with builders and other trades to keep projects on schedule
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised worksite

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years' bricklaying experience
• Proven experience on residential and/or commercial construction projects
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans
• High attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full Class 1 driver's licence
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to health and safety
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• NZQA Level 4 Brick and Block Laying qualification is a bonus
