Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Automotive Vehicle Service Technician to join a busy workshop based in central Cambridge.

This role will initially be a short-term assignment, with a genuine opportunity for ongoing work for the right person.

The Role

You’ll be carrying out general vehicle servicing, repairs and maintenance across a range of vehicles. Duties will include:

• General vehicle servicing and preventative maintenance
• Brake servicing, repairs and replacement
• Tyre fitting, balancing and rotation
• Wheel alignments
• Ball joint replacement
• Steering and suspension repairs
• General mechanical repairs and maintenance
• Identifying worn or damaged components
• Using workshop tools and equipment safely
• Keeping the workshop and work areas clean and organised

What We’re Looking For

• Previous automotive servicing or mechanical experience
• Confident completing general vehicle servicing and repairs
• Experience with brakes, tyres, steering and suspension
• Wheel alignment experience would be advantageous
• Good mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Full NZ Driver Licence preferred
