Tradestaff Rotorua is looking for a qualified and experienced Auto Electrician to join a well-established local company specialising in the manufacture of truck trailers.

This is a great long-term opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with a proven track record in automotive electrical work. You’ll be working in a busy manufacturing environment, completing electrical installation, maintenance and fault-finding work on truck trailers.

Location: Rotorua
Pay rate: $29–$35 per hour, depending on experience
Start: Immediate
Duration: Long-term opportunity

About the Role
Your responsibilities may include:

Installing electrical systems and components on truck trailers
Wiring lights, brakes and other trailer accessories
Diagnosing and repairing automotive electrical faults
Reading and working from wiring diagrams
Testing completed electrical work
Ensuring all work meets the required quality and safety standards
Working closely with the wider manufacturing team

What We’re Looking For

A recognised automotive electrical qualification
Proven experience working as an Auto Electrician
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Experience with trucks, trailers or heavy vehicles would be an advantage
The ability to work accurately and produce high-quality work
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Reliability and a positive, team-focused attitude
