We’re looking for an experienced Aluminium Welder to join a skilled fabrication team in Matamata. This is a great opportunity to put your MIG/TIG welding and fabrication skills to work in a supportive workshop environment, with an immediate start and potential for ongoing work.

Start date: Immediate
Pay rate: $30–$36 per hour, with weekly pay
What you’ll be doing

• Weld and fabricate aluminium components and assemblies using MIG/TIG equipment.
• Read basic drawings, measurements, and fabrication specifications.
• Prepare, fit, align, and tack materials prior to welding.
• Complete cutting, grinding, drilling, and general fabrication tasks.
• Inspect finished work to ensure quality and accuracy, completing repairs or adjustments as required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area.
• Work effectively as part of a small fabrication team.

What we’re looking for

• Previous aluminium welding and fabrication experience.
• Confidence using MIG/TIG welding equipment and general workshop tools.
• Ability to read basic drawings and work accurately to measurements.
• Valid driver licence and reliable transport.
• A good understanding of workshop health and safety.
• Reliable with a positive, team-focused attitude.
