Assistant Storesperson

We are seeking an Assistant Storesperson to join Tradestaff! The ideal candidate will hold a Class 3 driver's license and a valid forklift license with counterbalance. Experience in driving trucks delivery and lifting up to 3 tonnes on a forklift is advantageous. Responsibilities include assisting in inventory management, receiving and dispatching goods, and operating forklifts for material handling. The Assistant Storesperson will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring timely deliveries to support production activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in inventory management and stock control.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods.
• Prepare orders for dispatch and ensure accurate documentation.
• Operate forklifts to safely move materials and products within the warehouse.
• Support the main storesperson in daily tasks and warehouse operations.
• Drive trucks for delivery of goods as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
• Ad hoc duties to support the wider production team.

Requirements:

• Possession of a valid Class 3 driver's license.
• Valid forklift license with counterbalance.
• Prior experience in driving trucks for delivery preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 3 tonnes using a forklift is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
• Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and assist in various tasks as needed.
